This is BS. No one is ever healed of anything in clinical psychology everyone is pathologised then medicated.
Trauma doesn't exist. There is NO PTSD it's FEAR and nothing else.
Clinical psychology is a faith, it's a cult. Like scientology.
Dissociative identity disorder is not real it's all FEAR.
Clinical psychologists are the blind leading the blind.
Don't believe a word any shrink says.

I find myself getting lost in thought. I forget where I am. Not severely. Like I know where I am. Then I get lost in my head I don’t really see what’s around me just my thoughts ?. Then I realize I’m zoning out but still zoned out then slowly come back. I think I just am thinking too much and get caught up in it. I don’t know if I am dissociating. Also I just think it’s a symptom of anxiety. But Imagine walking and you’re just lost in your thoughts but still manage to perfectly walk and get to where you need to be. It’s weird honestly. I feel crazy talking about it. Also my memory is all messed up and I confuse certain things such as days, things I’ve done, etc. Because I spend most of my time in my head zoning out. Can someone explain if this is just normal human experience or what.

At the 1:28:30 mark watch for the hooded ghost that walks behind the man speaking- I'm serious. I'm at that point in the video now and curious about ESP with this. I have loads of trauma, and I have paranormal exp to the point that I was hired by a professional tour company to co-host ghost tours in a cemetery outside of Chicago. Ghosts are real, and so is dissociation. I don't feel they're related, except that trauma can make a person hypervigilant to notice irregularities in their environment. Awesome talk, I subbed! (was kidding unless the person with the hood has since died)

We often talk about repressing thoughts and memories, pushing them down. But what’s rarely spoken of is how we repress. Imagine the mental gymnastics it would take to take one of the worst experiences of your life or one of the worst feelings you’ve ever had and make it disappear. Do you ever try to forget something? Very difficult.

I have some ??? Imagine the following scenario: When an early on in a pregnancy a woman gets injured while having a COVID-19 infection who is starting to ezperience infection symptomology ends up in an emergency ward with no one accompanying her who is going to tell the truth about what happened and then there in hospital gets treated by being put into a medically induced coma as soon as all of the doctors discover she is pregnant what are all of the possible diagnostic labells that woman will end up with when she comes out of that medically induced coma? Another ?. Is the following behavior described here next in this comment a sign of real dissociative disorder without confusion about identity present in the person? LAst winter as I was taking the garbage out to the trash cans in the alley as soon as an old man saw me ahead in the alley he froze in his tracks and couldn't do anything else except stare at me the whole time he saw me doing that chore. US store clerks in a shoe store sometimes saw a different man come into our shoe store who behaved in the same way if the store was very busy while he was waiting to be served by us store clerks. What were those 2 men unconsious about that affected their behavior like that?

A shrink in NYC tried to tell me I had this and I felt she was wrong at the time, and then it was later removed from the DSM! I was very young, had a serious job and being falsely stigmatized with the 'Sybil' disease was very destructive and made me feel like I was a 'lost cause'. Hope she enjoyed my money! (Because the other side of being a victim of child abuse is dealing with the significant financial burden of therapy as an adult — just another way it sets you back in life).
I would urge people to be very careful about who they get help from. I swore off psychotherapy myself (psychoanalysis was invented by a perverted coc addict — really makes taking the profession seriously difficult). Go to someone who deals with the symptoms and isn't eager to label you with some exotic mental illness. This includes gender dysphoria, which seems to be trendy now — this is just another example of how troubling this profession is — how can a doctor move a patient in the direction of mutilating their own body? That goes completely against the tenent of non-maleficence in the Hippocratic Oath.
This Dr. at least does not express the inherent misogyny in Psychiatry here, but his WIki page is….interesting to say the least and certainly doesn't help his credibility.

Oh dear god, I've had all sorts of therapists who tried to dig with childhood trauma. I agree so greatly with the idea that any diagnosis are just clusters of symptoms, that means a lot of the person's past is erased. However, he is wrong with the symtpoms of DID (which are always trauma based) and schizophrenia (which auditory hallucinations are just one of the positive symptoms a person can have.)
If you want to get rid of bias, hear people's own voices. To say that its up to people to figure out it's all trauma and un"stigmatize" people (target and descriminate, hate and scape goat) anyone labeled, it's not anyone's job to "unstigmatize the ignorant." Those who haven't experienced can leave the room. For 'professionals' and therapists' to act as though people in pain or people who actually aren't, and live will with their own perceptions, do not get to write anyone's stories. You've made it your time, the government fund antistigma campaings that silence real stories and only work on control whatever narrative, not to help anyone. Good job theorizing about the lives of people and being so wrong. yet another God and Master who gives false data to tell a fictional story.
I've you're talking about the clients you work with, or isn't it a shame that mental illness holds stigma, but your way of answering it is that it's okay because people are traumatized seem to think that it wouldn't be okay if it wasn't. And you don't talk about feeling sooo sorry about it. You are either part of the problem or the solution. I haven't met anyone who cares about the betterment of clients. after a lifetimes of psychiatric ptsd, still looking, adding to a list of trauma is it's own misery.

This MD is the subject of multiple malpractice cases and propagates conspiracy theories.

He refers to legitimate studies like the ACES, and that trauma is more important than formerly believed, but he is mostly NOT legitimate.

Why is this even up anymore?

Here is an article that sites some sources, debunking his "work" (protections) and involment in conspiracy theory and even patient abuse!

I am listening to this and it sounds like what we have got is a bunch of perverts in power being propped up artificially at the top of scum bag institutionalized psychology in order to make sure society doesnt discover that wlthe vast majority of mental illness is caused by childhood abuse and that the only logical thought of a sane society is to purge the civilian ranks of pedifiles and perverts (off the streets) cause it is the fuel of the pharmacological machine racket that is ment to stand in for human kindness and continue to throw the children of the proverbial altar of Baal. I was in the christian ministries for years, and its the same gig. Check out Jerry Fallwell

In all fairness, Dr. Ross tries to explain away that because one person which was a serial killer faked DID then how possibly could anyone else fake it. If one person fakes it then anyone can fake it. You don't even have to present with florid personalities. All you need is a therapist that is willing to "see" it.

Dissociative disorders appear to be rare for a very simple logical reason:
The patient doesn't remember the dissociative episodes. He only have gaps in his memories. In order to complain of gaps in memories, a long time has to pass by, or many gaps in memories created.
    Can you remember forgetfulness?
Can you remember the period that you forgot?
Can you miss the periods that you forgot?
Do you know/aware of not knowing something?
Dissociation could be very common, just it takes a long time for a patient to figure out he has gaps in his memories.
It's like finding black holes, in dark skies, with an optical telescope.
I have 20 gaps in my memories, where I remember only the first 10 seconds of the memory. All those memories are accompanied by a bad feeling.
