Great video 🥰. Definitely going to try some yoga out. And I was totally triggered with the hunched back… i heard that alot growing up. Now I use a back support brace and see a chiropractor (on top of dealing with my traumas with a counselor). Have a great weekend 💙

Really really good! Pharmaceuticals in many cases also contribute to being out of touch with our body and exacerbate disconnection of mind/body and mute/complicate trauma symptoms, like stomach issues, headaches, etc. Of course not that medications are all bad but noting these and side effects/interactions systemically and how they may affect our connection with our body can be helpful. Ironically, many of these meds are prescribed for what is most likely unprocessed trauma manifesting as physical symptoms, a catch 22.

I think that another sympthom is neck and back pain resulting from tension and poor posture. This can have a debilitating effect on someone’s life. Thank you for your work. ❤️ Blessings

The racing heart started a lot this year and I always feel like I'm having a panic attack, even when I'm laying down.

As a LMT, I can literally see this in people daily. I can accurately tell a person about themselves and their personality by their physical posture.

What about when the energy shows up as wanting to kick, punch, throw things? Those actions RARELY actually occur(as I don't honor that energy, think I've only allowed it once when I threw my hairbrush at a door haha), but I notice that energy is present at times and I just subdue it to not negatively impact the physical world around me. (Grateful that this energy is never directed towards other humans.)It shows up as more of a desire to express my pain, sadness and hurt by "hurting", "destroying", "breaking" physical objects around me. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Can Trauma manifest itself mentally as a spirit possession? I've been 'possessed' for over 10 years now and sought spiritual healers, but still this problem persist. Recently I was told it might be some kind of trauma hidden in my memories. This 10 years I've gained more weight and recently became asthmatic (I wasn't asthmatic before). Please help on how to recover hidden memories and how to heal from this. I'll appreciate your advise. Thank you again.

Thank you again for an educating/empowering video. The symptoms of trauma ive had starting in childhood are hunched posture, IBS, focus issues, & a also having a difficult time breathing/trying to catch my breath. I remember my mom taking me to the doctor 8th grade because of this due to the breathing issues. Today i know it was a symptom of the chaos going on in the home & my body responding. I cant tell you how much i appreciate you as your work is part of my healing journey.

Breathwork for trauma release has changed my life! I have been doing a regular practice since April. Due to chronic anxiety and stress I ended up with leaky gut/chronic stomach issues and was in a constant state of ‘high alert’. Since breathwork it has strengthened my vagus nerve so much that it’s improved my digestion, posture and helping me release old energy from past trauma. Check out Samantha Skelly, she is the breathwork Queen!

Was watching a random medical vlog and someone was using a foam roller for their back. That seems like a good one for alot of people to try. Personal massagers are another. If possible, clear out a space around you to do whatever you need to do and keep the space devoted just like you keep your bed or desk or kitchen table devoted (if you do) and If you have someone to help with a physical exercise or therapy, that can be good. There are alot of exercises or methods depending on what bodily stress they are going through. I think it’s important to pay attention to responses we might need and lookout for methods that may address our needs. It’s kind of an issue that people don’t always know how to find solutions, so sharing helps.

I know there isn't a one size fits all in therapy but I have a question. What if doing Yoga brings out emotional pain? ie anger, sadness, grief and so on. Do you just work through it and let it out ? Any tips appreciated.

I’m so thankful for this video!! My therapist has been able to show me how much physical pain I carry from anxiety and trauma to the point I thought I had chrohns disease and underwent several procedures to check and all found nothing! You couldn’t believe how physically ill trauma will make you… I wish society and doctors especially could better understand this

PSOAS retains trauma more than any other part. The hips are a common storage spot for trauma that is very old.
When my trauma plays up my hips start aching.
The big yoga trauma stretches are hip openers and there are therapists now working with deep PSOAS releasing for trauma.
My personal favourite is legs up the wall… doing this for 15 minutes a day is great for releasing and blood pressure.
My most recent help is PMR meditation as I clench a lot!
