June 1st is the “official” start of the hurricane season! It’s almost September 1st and so many have been suffering due to “Hanna” “Isaias” “Laura” “Marco” on top of the protracted pandemic.

(Very sad!)

Not too many worries, huh?! (Insert snarky tone.) Living in Florida, for approximately the past two decades, you get use to ignoring all the hype! Until the hurricane is on your doorstep. (Or wearing a mouth & nose mask and social distancing become everyday commonplace.)

So, why is this year, 2020, different? Why is it seemingly significant? Just hype?

Hurricanes, pandemic, chaos, protests…and panic.
