Very well constructed video ! I actually did a movie character analysis and I wanted to do either Regina or Kady but I didn’t have the intelligence nor the drive the research back then 😂😂

Time and time again this movie reminds us that most teen girls do not have an outlet for their rage! Luckily I have tools such as running, sports, arts and hobbies that allow me to control and express my emotions healthily. It is unfortunate that there are less and less girls participating in sports later in life.

Regina was such a well thought out and portrayed character, and its so annoying that other movies just took her character and either used it to inspire those generic rich popular mean girls, or group her in with them.

I don't think Regina is the main 'villain'. It must be Janis.

The fact that this movie is not studied in film schools is just sexist and a great disservice.

I love the fact that Regina wasnt "defeated" at the end of the movie. Instead of being bullied by her teenage peers, she finds a spot on the lacrosse team. The masses didnt ostrisize her for her dictorial crimes, the masses integrated her for her newfound humility.

This film was released in 2004, which means the script was probably written in 2003, the same year as the Irak war and Saddam Hussein removal. Coincidence?

When it comes to fictional stories in high-school settings, something that's always rung false with me was why popularity is such a big deal in the first place. Granted, my actual high school experience was atypical in more ways than I can count, but most of the people I was friendly with never gave a damn about being popular (at least I don't recall them openly discussing it with me). Personally, I just wanted to get out there and go to college so I didn't have to put up so much bullshit anymore. Being popular was the last thing on my mind, and my friends generally seemed to share that feeling.
