One of my favorite tracks. The dramatic climax starts at 8:04.

Cool trick by Zimmer: Blackwood says he'll release the "dark magic" on the 12th chime of noon. The phrase from 8:308:33 gets repeated 12 times as if to evoke a tolling bell, slowly building in intensity every four repeats until 9:11, when Irene disarms the bomb. Then there's also the fact that 10:37 sounds an awful lot like the "Oh Lord Our God" tune that Big Ben plays on the hour. Awesome touch.

If I ever have to go into psychological recovery, I hope it's like this song.

I'm the type of person that has heard way more soundtracks and scores than I've seen movies. There's movies I haven't seen but I've heard their score back to back tons of times. It came from liking classical as a teen but finding stuff like this more exciting. This song to me plays like an epic Rachmaninoff song. When someone happened to finally be watching this movie in my living room I was excited and disappointed when I heard this track played so quietly under far less epic scenes I imagined haha.
