What Is Positive Psychology And Why Is It Important?

What is positive psychology?
In this video, we will cover:

2:17] What constitutes joy and being successful?
2:29] What positive psychology is not. It is not denying your pain or challenges in your life.
3:14] About Pollyanna
4:04] The Glad Game. How can you take any circumstance you’re in and find something to be glad in it.
5:47] What positive psychology is.

Positive psychology is the conscious decision of seeing the positive. It is intentionally experiencing a fuller and richer life despite whatever our circumstances are.

Thank you for this message. It’s not something that is easily digested or practiced in tragic times but I believe it is possible and it is healing.

Pollyanna is a great great film, every time I watch it I always admire how she copes with the grumpy one, despite the rejection of the jars of broth, that girl keeps trying with different broths which is endearing etc it's the same when your not well, the same method might not work like it did before but trying different ways to get out of depression can help. The crystals at the window is also another message, finding something nice to focus on gives a break from the arguments in the head, be it crystals, vase of flowers, picture or baby animal etc. The glad game is something you can forget to do when your down and this video has just reminded me to play this game and find something for focusing with a few I know that would benefit from this. Thank you for this video πŸ™‚
